Amara Banks a.k.a. "The Twerker" is a former bank robber and member of the "Sisterhood" before her imprisonment due to a fail heist in Tokanda. Amara was known as the enforcer of the Sisterhood as her body was more full figured than the other members of the group and her past background in winning weight lifting competitions. Her nickname "The Twerker" actually derived from her winning those competitions as she would twerk in front of large crowds during the crowning ceremonies. However, those completion earnings did not always pay the bills as she would rob banks over the weekend with her family members, particularly her father. Her father would eventually get caught and be given an 60 year sentence for all of the robberies and murders he had gotten away with.

All in the family

Amara comes from a long line bank robbers, so much so that the family decided a generation ago to change their last name from "Johnson" to "Banks." The family grew up in the North Bound quadrant of Mid Point where most of the high end stores and banks are located. Amara's father scored a big heist from robbing a bank back in the early 90's and was able to move his family to the north side of town. He had briefly retired from robbing banks to raise Amara but started back to support weight lifting competitions travel expenses which led to him getting locked up in Red Rocks prison. Growing up there, Amara met Alexis Keyes a.k.a. "The Red Scarlett," while still in grade school. The two would carry out small petty crimes together all the way into their adulthood. Amara and Alexis would then befriend Penelope Coles a.k.a. Pussy Poppins, while in college. This would be the start of the "Sisterhood" as they begin robbing random men they were on dates with for their money and jewelry until the falling out of Alexis and Penelope.

Pick a side

Alexis and Penelope were in a relationship with the same guy that they both were madly in love with. Penelope, who had fallen deep in love with the guy, did not want to rob him and take everything from him. Alexis on the other hand did, but still enjoyed spending long nights with this guy and his ability to buy her anything she wanted. Both women wanted the guy for their own selfish reasons, but Amara was caught in between the split as things got really messy. Both women were skilled assassins and they both would attack each other on occasion. Now known as Pussy Poppins, Penelope would send her mother's escort assassins to take out the Red Scarlett and sometimes Amara would get caught up in the crossfire. This would spark a long feud between Amara and Pussy Poppins that would lead to countless dead escorts. Amara would go on to fight many of Pussy Poppins assassins, sometimes killing them to protect her friend Red Scarlett. Pussy Poppins would than go after Amara and the two would have many public duels until her imprisonment in Tokanda.

Expanding the sisterhood

After a couple of years of fighting Pussy Poppins, Red Scarlett and Amara decided to grow the Sisterhood and add members to fight off Pussy Poppins assassins. They recruited a former exiled assassin of Pussy Poppins stable, Penny Scissorhands to the group after her incident with Mr. Big Dick. Also during the tryout period, Red Scarlett recruited a white woman by the name of "Candy" to group to serve as a lookout and to throw off people from what her other members, who were black, was doing. Also by the time, Red Scarlett was in a deep relationship with Mandingo Warrior, in which the Sisterhood was intending to rob. Amara, acting as one of her Red Scarlett's security guards, was tasked with stealing a diamond while Red Scarlett and Candy distract Mandingo Warrior at one of his gatherings in Tokanda. Candy was supposed to served as an lookout at the high temple but accidently ended up attending the gathering with Red Scarlett and she is introduced as her best friend from back home. Instead of Candy looking out for the guards so Amara could sneak in, she ends up going with Mandingo Warrior to his bedroom behind Red Scarlett back, due to his love for white women. Amara is then arrested as she gets caught trying to steal the diamond at the high temple and is imprisoned in Tokanda for 30 years.

Help from an old partner

After about half a decade in a Tokandan prison, Amara would get transferred back to the United States and served the remainder of her sentence in Red Rocks prison. By this time, Amara had grew frustrations with Red Scarlett for not rescuing her from the Tokandan prison. She would find out that the person behind this transfer was Candy, her former Sisterhood partner who was the reason for her being in prison in the first place. Candy needed Amara to go after Koffee Black, who was causing a lot of disruptions with her protest movements throughout the city. Amara was tasked with the resposibilty of disrupting Koffee's rallies by dancing and twerking on cars until Koffee would try and stop her. Candy would often promise Amara time off her sentence and revenge on Red Scarlett for leaving her in the Tokandan prison while dating Mandingo Warrior. Amara would also attack Pussy Poppins every now and again just to antagonize her.
