Dick Johnson a.k.a. "The Anchorman" is Mid Point's most recognizable figures inside the city limits. He is Channel 4's top anchorman and probably the most famous person outside of any celebrity that visits the town. Although he is famous amongst locals, seeing him live somewhere is not always good because that usually means someone was just murdered in the area. Dick Johnson is not a fan of only reporting murder cases, but he is the best one to do it, due to him not being afraid to venture into tough areas to give an report. He is also an excellent journalist, which gets him trouble with Mayor Powell, who repeatedly put hits on him when he is reporting outside of city hall about him.

History with Mayor Powell

Dick Johnson and Mayor Powell have a long history on and off the camera. Dick Johnson was the first person to interview Mayor Powell before he became mayor of the Mid Point. Even then, Dick Johnson had a funny feeling about him and he did some digging into his past. He would discover the involvement of Mayor Powell soldier experimental projects while in the military and tried to bring it to the press. The article was shot down, due to his manager being secretly part of the White Order. He would then receive death threats and near assassinations on his life throughout his time as an anchor in Mid Point. At that point, Dick Johnson sought out help from local leaders to protect his life while covering the news in Mid Point.

Help from a Madam

In seeking help, Dick Johnson contacted an old friend, Pussy Poppins mother, who he once interviewed on the street as a pipe busted in downtown East Bound. She would lend Dick Johnson two of her hookers as body guards to protect him at all times. Unknowingly, this is what gave Dick Johnson his famous smooth persona as he would always have some of the finest women walking around with him. Little did people know, they were female assassins, ready to kill at will. However, that didn't stop Mayor Powell from coming him, as would try to get Dick Johnson fired on multiple occasions. That would quickly fail, because every time they would try to let him go, the show would lose ratings or there would be massive protest outside the channel 4 building, causing traffic to become a problem.
